April 11 & 12 Introductory, April 14 & 15 Advanced
2 days of workshops with all materials supplied.
The workshops are held in my home studio from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. This allows the participants hundreds of examples of my encaustic painting over the last 12 years, including “what not to do!”
All materials are provided: encaustic paint. brushes, wood support panels, electric tools, scrapers and propane torches.

Demos of the encaustic technique, fusing, layering, embedding, collage and incising.
Equipment, materials, and resources to pursue encaustic on your own.
Experiment with all the materials and create your own finished encaustic paintings in class.
Advanced techniques workshops
We focus on surfacing, embedding, transparencies, glazing and hot pen, image transfers, and more. We will explore combining oil and encaustic and dipping. You should have several finished paintings after the workshops.
Cost for each two day workshop is $200 U.S.plus $35 materials fee, or the equivalent in pesos. I accept cash, U.S. bank checks or paypal. 50% is required at registration.
